地质学专业(理科基地班本-硕贯通连续)培养方案

Undergraduate Program in Geology

 

一、专业简介Major Introduction

  地质学主要研究地球的物质组成、结构构造及其演化历史。地质学专业(理科基地班)旨在培养学生对自然科学的广泛兴趣,以及地质学基本理论、基础知识、基本技能及相关学科知识;培养学生扎实的地质野外实践能力,熟悉地质科学及相关地质资源、地球化学、地球物理等学科研究程序、方法、地质资料信息收集、处理过程、综合判定与解释、处理、成果解释的基本能力。地质学(理简直基地班)实行本科生和硕士研究生贯穿连读,前三年系统学习数理化、地质学基础理论及野外地质实践知识,第四年开始以研究生培养方式进行。学生毕业后,大多数继续在本专业或相关专业领域攻读研究生,也可在科研机构、学校从事科学研究、教学工作或在国家政府部门从事管理工作。

  

  Geology is a subject focusing on composition, internal texture and structure, the formation and evolutionary history of the earth. The students with geology major (science Base class) are of a broad interest in nature science, a solid foundation of geological theory, knowledge, skill of geology and rich experience of field practice, and are familiar with the basic research procedures and methods, know the process of information collection and processing of geology and related geological resources, geochemistry and geophysics.

  Geology major (science Base class) are an integration of undergraduate study phase and postgraduate study phase. During the first three years, students systematically learn the basic knowledge of mathematics, physics and chemistry, learn the basic geological theory and make field geological practice. On the fourth year, the students of this major start to be educated in the mode of postgraduate training. After graduation, most students continue to further their study on geology or on related domain, and some can be occupied in the area of scientific research and education in institutes and colleges as well as management in government department.

  

二、培养目标Academic Objectives

  培养的学生应具备宽广的自然科学基础知识,掌握系统的地质学及相关学科基础理论、基础知识和基本技能,了解地质学基础理论研究的前沿问题和发展动态,熟悉地质科学及相关学科基础研究程序、实验方法和资料收集、分析技能。能够使用计算机辅助完成研究工作中的计算问题和研究成果的表达。

  熟练掌握一门外语,达到国家四级或更高等级外语考试水平,基本能够用外语进行地质科学学术交流,具有一定的体育和军事基本知识,掌握科学锻炼身体的基本技能,达到国家规定的大学生体育和军事训练合格标准,具有健康的心理素质和强壮的体魄。

  

  Students major in geology  (science Base class) have a broad foundation of natural science knowledge, and systematically master the basic theory, knowledge and skill of geology and related subjects, and understand the basic theory research of geology in relation to frontier issues and developing trend, and know well about the basic geological research process, experimental method, information collection and analytical skills, and can use the computer aiding to complete the calculation and the expression of the the research results.

  Students master a foreign language with CET 4 or higher language level, and own this language ability to participate the academic exchange activities, have certain basic physical and military knowledge, and grasp basic skills of scientific exercises, and meet the national standard of sports and military training of university students, and own healthy psychological quality and a strong body

  

三、培养要求Academic Requirement

  本专业毕业生应具有强健体魄和健康身心,达到国家规定的大学生体育和军事训练合格标准,具有坚实的数、理、化基础和较好的科学素养与合作精神通过系统学习学科基础课程和相关专业核心课程,掌握地质学基础理论、基础知识和基本技能。通过系统的实践教学与创新创业培养,熟悉地质科学基础研究程序、实践实验方法,基本掌握支撑地质学主要学科研究和发展的试验设备系统,具备较好的科研和相关生产工作的能力。通过参与学术活动,掌握文献检索、资料查阅工作方法,了解地质学基础理论研究的前沿问题和发展动态与趋势,具备解决问题的能力与科学创新精神。

  Graduated students should meet the national requirements of physical education and military training standard for college student with fitness and health. They will have solid foundation in mathematics, physics and chemistry with good scientific literacy and the spirit of cooperation. Students should master the basic geology knowledge, theory and skills based on systemically learning of curriculum, including disciplinary fundamental courses and specialized core courses. They will be familiar with the basic research program of geological science, practice and experimental methods, and know the experimental facilities that back up research and development of geology with preliminary ability for scientific research and related production work after systemically training with practice education and cultivation of innovation and entrepreneurship. Students should be able to conduct bibliographic retrieval and access to information, and be well understand the recent status, frontier issues, major problems and developing trend in mainly research fields of geology, and have abilities to solve problems with innovation.

  

四、学制与学位Length of Schooling and Degree

  学制六年,学生修满规定的最低学分,达到培养目标规定的各项要求后,授予理学学士学位和硕士学位。

  Length of schooling is six years, after getting the prescribed minimun school credits and reaching all the requirements of the educational target, students will be awarded bachelor of engineering’s degree and master’s degree.

 

五、核心课程Core Courses

  

1.课程设置

  总体思路:课程设置采取通识教育必修课程+学科基础课程+专业核心课程+实践与创新课程的方式,,将人文素质、科学素质教育与具有中国地质大学特色的专业教育相结合,同时通过特色实践教学,培养和增强学生科学实践能力。选修课在为学生根据自己的特长和爱好,在某些专业领域或其他相关专业知识的学习和深化方面提供良好的支持,从而使同一专业培养出的学生具有不同特色的专长,充分体现“特色+精品”的办学理念。

  基本原则:通识基础课的设置, 以使学生具备良好的人文素质,满足学生形成大学本科共同基础课为原则;学科基础课的课程设置以使学生具备从事地质学或其他理学类专业学习和进一步深造所需要的基本科学素质为目标;专业基础课的设置,以满足学生进行地质学类相关专业学习研究、生产工作所需要的基础知识和理论为基本目标;专业课的设置,使学生具备初步的地学相关生产和研究应具备的基本理论、知识和工作技能,以及具备初步的专业研究与良好的科学思维能力为目标;实践必修课旨在巩固所学基本知识,提高学生的实践能力;选修课主要帮助学生在某些专业领域的知识深化及拓宽,为其进一步深造或者走向工作岗位奠定进一步的基础,这也是将选修课放在高年级的主要考虑因素。

  Curriculum

  General ideaCurriculum adopts the approach of "Required Courses of General Education + Disciplinary Fundamental Courses + Specialized Fundamental Courses + Practice + Creativity and Entrepreneurship", which combined the education of human quality and scientific quality with the typical professional education of China University of Geosciences, and through which to foster and enhance the students' ability in scientific practices. Optional courses provide students with a good platform on studying professional fields or other relevant professional knowledge according to their specialties and preferences, so as to enable the students of the same major possessing different special skills or knowledge, which fully embodying the education idea of "characteristics + excellence".

  basic principles: General Education Courses aim to enable students to have good humanistic quality to meet the students form the undergraduate common basic course on the principle; subject basic courses curricula aim to enable students to be qualified for geological or other science professional learning and further studies; specialized basic courses aim to enable students to master the basic knowledge and theory required in geoscience study and research or production and so on; specialized main courses aim to enable students to possess basic theory, knowledge and skills on geological-related production and research, as well as preliminary professional research ability and scientific thinking; practice required course aim to consolidate the basic knowledge, improve their practical ability; Optional courses aim to broaden and deepen students' knowledge in some other fields, lay the foundation for their further study or work, which is an important reason to set the optional courses on the higher grades.

  创新创业活动学分的认定按照教务处相关规定执行。
